Wer sich für SLAM interessiert und dem die dafür erforderlichen Laserscanner aber bisher zu teuer waren, für den kommt die Lösung mit dem RPLIDAR von RoboPeak in den bezahlbaren Bereich:
360°, Reichweite 0,2 – 6m, Scan Rate 5,5Hz , 360€
Das ist zwar nicht geschenkt, aber eben nur ein Drittel des Preises, den man für einen einfachen Hokuyo URG-04LX-UG01 bezahlen muss.

The only reason for not giving a 5-star rating is the sound of friction that it makes during operation. It doesn't seem to do any harm, but I'm afraid that sooner or later some abrasion might appear. But that doesn't bother me too much, because for this price I can replace it twice before hitting the price range of the next option So, it's totally recommended.
