Dear Brian,
I got two persitaltic pumps which i thought to wire with your EasyDriver board. Your application seems to be perfect for that. So I ordered three boards from
http://www.watterott.net/ (a german distributor of SparkFun products).
The first thing I tried was to give the boards some power, so I connected a 24V power supply to GND/M+. All the other ports were left open. The "Power-Led" was turning on, but after a few seconds it beguns to flicker. I touched the board by finger and determined, that the on-board
LM317 is getting really really hot. Besides, I got no more 5V output, so I believe the thermal protection turned on.
I checked the 5V output for continuity and got a resistance about 10 Ohms between +5 and GND. Do you think this is normal? I tried cooling the board additionally with a fan, but I had no success. Do you have any other ideas, how I get rid of this problem?
